Great Doctor takes time to listens, never in a rush concerned with all of my symptoms and solutions what I should do.

Dr. Hsiao seemed 100% absorbed with entering data into the system, and little interested in the actual content of my replies. For example, I twice told her that several symptoms occurred only after what felt like minor seizures, and after she typed this in, she replied that they sounded more like regular dementia. Then she asked me if I had had syphilis, ignoring the cause and effect relationship I had reported. I'm pretty sure this was what the AI told her to ask, but it made no sense.

The first appointment was very rushed and uncomfortable. The second appointment was more focused, and time was allowed for my input. After viewing the portal I could see that Dr Hsiao had ordered several tests, results and a letter of explanation provided which assisted in further understanding the plan.There are many questions left at the end of an appointment.

Because she provided a Japanese translator, administered a series of memory tests, explained MRI results, what may happen in the future and asked about medications. Declined use of medications due to side effects. Dr Hsiao provided ways to keep mind active.

Julia Hsiao, DO, is board certified in neurology. Dr. Hsiao earned her medical degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Des Moines University in Iowa. She completed her internship and residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan. She also completed a fellowship at the Veterans Affairs West Los Angeles Medical Center. Dr. Hsiao became a do ctor because of her experiences living with and caring for her grandmother for several years. Patients describe Dr. Hsiao as compassionate and a good listener.
