Referral process and call center negatively impact score for Dr. Briggs. Dr. Briggs was very thoughtful, asked good questions and listened. However, no follow-up appointment was set and I thought there would be no problem continuing to see my internist, Clayton Barbour. When I received my referral on [omitted], it is to a different internist who I do not know. I believe in continuity of care and Dr. Barbour has followed me for over 10 years. I don’t want a change at this time. When I was forced to transfer my care from DAP to Optum, I was told I could still see Dr. Barbour. That the referral process does not allow this is illogical and a strong indicator of poor care standards.

She makes you feel she's concerned about your health and cares about you getting better, she's very thorough in explaining everything. The doctor began the appointment by explaining that her computer system was undergoing an upgrade and wasn’t working. She arrived nearly 40 minutes after our scheduled time. After I left, I tried contacting her because I needed a referral to see a dermatologist, and the earliest available appointment is in three months. I am still waiting for her return call.
