Qualified & professional as well as pleasant & able to have a conversation with regarding care & concerns. Not happy with the the amount of time “any doctor” can speak w/you in regards to health & concerns …. I know it’s limited!

My fist appointment, she was all over the place, getting up and sitting back down, almost leaving and then coming back, like she was wired and couldn’t sit still or decide how to proceed. I told her that my eyes have darted back and forth since I was a kid a she waived her hands as she dismissed it as not a problem since it’s been happening so long. When I told her about some feeling I get in my skull, she scrunched her face and just said, “That's weird.” My second appointment was one of the worst doctors appointments I’ve had in years. Dr. Oh dismissed my symptoms again. That eye darting was diagnosed as nystagmus in the large packet of test results I came to discuss, and she said nothing about it. She said nothing was wrong because I had a clear MRI, and I had to ask her to please look at the packet of results from my vestibular testing. She dismissed that huge packet of test results, discounting the results because the test was done by someone she said wasn’t “an MD,” although he was a Doctor of Audiology. Dr. Oh said to take the results with a grain of salt because he wasn’t an MD, and said the results didn’t make sense and were “written poorly,” although I could understand them. She abruptly left the room to “input the results into a database” to figure it out (which I know meant she was going to ChatGPT), came back, and told me that the results made no sense because “balance is in peripheral” but the results said I had a central lesion and issues in the central system. She totally did not understand that that was saying there was an issue with my cerebellum. When I tried to explain what I understood about the results and how I was moved to tears to have an answer to a decade-long problem, she said that wasn’t it, and the doctor who wrote the results was not making sense. She literally waived her hands as she brushed off what I was saying. When I tried to explain my symptoms better, she just began a “note taking app” that she refused to let me see and put her phone upside down so I couldn’t tell if she was recording me or using a note taking app or ChatGPT. She didn’t want to give me the referrals that the packet of test results said I should get. I had to ask a few times for the referrals and she still said they wouldn’t help me. So she went from not understanding the test results to minimizing them and discounting them to saying the referrals listed wouldn’t help me, but she also said she had no idea what my diagnosis could be, so she just settled on vestibular migraine, even though I think that’s wrong. Even when I told her these test results had made me feel validated after 10 years, she never discussed nystagmus, she tore down the results of a central lesion, she told me that the referrals I wanted would not help, and she just made me feel like waiting months and months for an appointment was a mistake. To make matters worse, when I saw an ENT the next week, he told me the test results were “straightforward” and said they made sense.
