Ana took the time to explain my condition and she showed her asked many questions in order to get accurate diagnosis. Ana also was helpful in setting up appointments with other doctors whom I need to see for follow up.

She was very nice, listen and came up with a good plan. But I did have problems. 1) she ordered a cream from the pharmacy, but failed to indicate how the drug was to be taken so the pharmacy wouldn't give it to me. They have tried to get this clarified but unable to contact her. I've tried several times, the staff said they would leave her a message. Its been over two weeks and I still don't have the medication. She ordered Ciprofloxacin but the pharmacy was reluctant for me to take as prescribed, tried to get it clarified, but no one answered the phone. She reluctantly gave it to me. I looked up the dose on webMD and took it as they directed.

Pros: Ana J Hernandez-Cruz, NP, provided a comprehensive explanation of my previous lab results, vital signs, pulmonary function, and effectively addressed my concerns regarding my well-being. Cons: I informed her that my mother had recently passed away. while she did express her condolences. i did not perceive any compassion or empathy in her demeanor. Furthermore, I provided her with my FMLA paperwork for my primary physician (Dr. Michelle Falcon), last week. Upon calling today, I was informed that the document had been misplace or she never hand over to my primary physician. Consequently, I must now return to resubmit the paperwork, which is presents an inconvenience for me.

Excellent Physician Assistant. She is very knowledgeable and cares about her patients. She listens and gives good information. I wish she would call my work phone instead of my cell phone when contacting, but that is a general problem with Optum as a whole and not specific to her. My work phone is [omitted]. That is my preferred contact number since I often miss cell phone calls. I would recommend Ana Hernandez to anyone. She is great.

our appointment was late due to echnical issues. I explained to her about having to take malaria pills for our vacation and the need to take a type of medication to help me sleep on the plane, since I can never sleep on an airplane and this is going to be a 15 hour flight. She prescribed the malaria pills. Unfortunately, she prescribed anxiety pills for the plane trip. They will probably help me sleep. Not exactly what I asked for. Pharmacist was surprised by the prescription, since it is not an anxiety issue.
