I gave that rating because Dr. Alwin C. Lewis, MD was very nice, professional, and easy to talk to. He listened carefully to my concerns and was very helpful throughout the visit. He also helped me get the anesthesia clearance letter I needed, which made the process much smoother. Overall, I felt well taken care of and supported.

I believe that Dr. Alwin C. Lewis is among the top doctors in Southern California. He is forward-thinking, pays close attention to your overall health and weight. Dr. Lewis has also written a small book detailing the negative aspect of being overweight. and the problems it can cause with your overall lifestyle. Dr. Lewis is saving lives.

Because he is not a doctor who actually cares about your concerns. He did not address my actual health concerns, he refused to do my testing I asked for his bloodwork. And he told me verbatim to not eat for 15 days - which I would essentially starve, he said I should only eat “5 bites of a bar, 2x a day with only water or coffee.” He wants all of his female patients to lose weight. I’m not the only patient of his to be a victim of abuse- there are reviews of this doctor all over the place stating the same thing. I hope the medical board sees this and does a serious investigation.

The Doctor is doing his best to try to make me as healthy as possible. Sometimes he overlooks more day to day things, while focusing on just one or two more specific things. Overall he is friendly and wants to make sure I'm as healthy as possible.

He completed his internship and residency at the University of California, Irvine.
