The power of collaborative contracting
National Association of State Procurement Officials (NASPO) ValuePoint is helping states streamline the procurement process. ValuePoint uses resources from multiple states to create cooperative agreements.
For states, ValuePoint reduces the procurement timeline and provides set pricing based on established criteria. It means that core functionality has already been vetted by other states and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
Most recently, NASPO selected Optum as an approved supplier of claims management services for state Medicaid programs. Optum also currently delivers provider services through the ValuePoint program, which allows states to enroll, credential and verify providers for Medicaid.
NASPO is also planning to introduce ValuePoint cooperative agreements for other MMIS modules in the future.
