As we bring the Optum Insight and Change Healthcare capabilities, solutions and teams together, it will become increasingly important that Change Healthcare and Optum team members can easily and effectively begin to communicate and collaborate with one another. We are excited to announce some newly available collaboration tools for Optum and Change Healthcare team members who are engaged in early integration work.
Microsoft Teams Collaboration
The Optum Insight and Change Healthcare Microsoft (MS) Teams platforms have been connected, allowing colleagues across Optum and Change Healthcare to:
- Meet and call directly
- Chat in real time
- Seamlessly screen share
- See the presence of a team member at both Change Healthcare and Optum Insight
Please note, if you are not currently engaged in integration-based work, you may not have a need for this new feature at this time. However, we are sharing this news so you know the capabilities exist and will be ready for you to use, when the time is right.

Outlook Email Address Book and Calendar Synchronization
The Outlook email address book and calendar synchronization will make emailing much easier. You’ll have the ability to retrieve email addresses from all UnitedHealth Group, Optum and Change Healthcare team members in Outlook by searching the address book using the team member’s name. You can also view free or busy times of team members in your Outlook calendar, which will make scheduling a meeting much easier.
For more information on how to set up Outlook email address book and calendar synchronization capabilities, click here.
The integration teams at Optum and Change Healthcare will be the primary users of these features for now. We anticipate increased usage across both organizations in the coming months.
These new capabilities are an example of the tools, guidance and resources that will be shared with you as we begin to bring our companies and teams together. We look forward to sharing more with you in the coming weeks.
