Optum
Patient Assessment Form (PAF) and Healthcare Quality Patient Assessment Form (HQPAF)
Take Advantage of Optum’s Provider Training Options

Now that you are well into your 2017 HQPAF/PAF Program, let’s not forget about all of the wonderful training opportunities that are still available through Optum. There are a few different training options that are offered to the provider community. These trainings include a monthly one hour Medicare Risk Adjustment 101 WebEx training as well as Documentation and Coding training that are followed by a one hour disease-specific training. These disease-specific trainings vary from month to month but can be attended each month directly through your desktop. See the attached calendar of trainings still available between now and the end of the year. We encourage you to take advantage of these training opportunities and reach out to your Healthcare Advocate with questions about these training or other coding and documentation tools that are available through Optum.

Other trainings that are available to the provider community are in-person training presentations and can be customized to meet the individual needs of each provider office. These trainings are typically coordinated by your local Healthcare Advocate who will discuss which training decks would be the most appropriate for your office. These are hosted by Optum’s national training team and must be scheduled in advance to accommodate schedules. You can view the detailed description of each of the training opportunities available on Optum’s Coding Presentations for 2017 document. Should your office be interested in scheduling one of these customized training sessions with Optum’s national training team, please reach out to your local Healthcare Advocate to discuss next steps.
