My name is Dr. Marvin Resmovitz. I'm a pediatrician at Optum.

00:05.000 --> 00:28.000
As a pediatrician, I care for children and adolescents. It's wonderful because we see babies from birth and watch them grow through life—helping them through school challenges, physical challenges, and everything in between. I've been doing this long enough that I now see former patients as parents, and I get to help them and their children.

00:28.000 --> 00:49.000
When you can help people and families—whether with medical issues or social and emotional concerns—it makes you feel good at the end of the day. It's a wonderful way to make a living.

00:49.000 --> 01:12.000
Working as part of a team is fantastic. If questions come up when I'm seeing a patient, it's easy to send a quick text or chat message, something I did just yesterday. Getting answers quickly helps me treat patients on the spot and determine whether they truly need a specialist or whether I can care for them myself.

01:12.000 --> 01:36.000
I love taking walks. I play tennis with my wife. I enjoy photography, and recently I've been planting in the spring. I love spending time with my family, including my first grandchild—now two and a half years old.

00:36.000 --> 01:56.000
One added benefit of gardening is watching her walk up to the front door and reach for tomatoes and strawberries growing out front—and trying to stop her from eating them all.
