The Impact Of Heart Failure Remote Monitoring
Effective Medicare population care management
Better health outcomes and lower costs
Patients with heart failure (HF) are likely to require acute inpatient hospital stays to treat HF and other chronic conditions. Our study shows that taking part in a clinically based HF program with remote monitoring may significantly improve outcomes and lower costs.
Our primary study objective was to examine the impact of using a remote weight-monitoring scale on:
- Medical costs
- Inpatient costs
- Inpatient length of stay
