Thank you to all health care workers on the front lines
Optum Health Ambassador, Rory McIlroy, is thankful for the dedication and compassionate care all health care workers are making during the COVID-19 pandemic. During the TaylorMade Driving Relief golf match supported by UnitedHealth Group, Rory surprised Penny Palmer, Optum nurse practitioner and avid golfer from New York, with a video call. Rory expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the extraordinary care and commitment she has demonstrated during this trying time.
The charity golf match raised a total of 5+ million in donations with $3 million going toward the American Nurses Foundation and CDC Foundation. Both Optum and UnitedHealth Group are committed to fight COVID-19 and support impacted communities around the world.

Connecting with kids to help empower them to live life to the fullest
BEN MEENTS: We brought kids in that have benefited from the health screenings that St. Vincent's provides out in the communities and makes sure that are necessary in order for them to participate in high school sports.
RORY MCILROY: Have you guys ever juggled?
BEN MEENTS: Rory's focus and curiosity in health care really inspires us and he is excited to help associate the way that he approaches his game of golf in the same way that Optum approaches solving complex challenges in health care.
RORY: Juggling is one of the only activities where your mind can actually focus and relax at the same time it uses both side of your brain.
I was recommended to do it before I went out to play so I started to juggle and got pretty good at it and it's just something I do for a few minutes a day to get myself in a good frame of mind.
BEN MEENTS: At Optum we've been really excited to be a Proud Partner of THE PLAYERS and for the third year in a row support St. Vincent's HealthCare Foundation.
And what it allows us to do is really support our shared mission to help people with healthier lives and also live in healthier communities.
RORY MCILROY: Awesome.
Thanks guys! Nice to meet you. Good luck!
